Long-Lasting Flea, Tick & Mite Protection

Bravecto Chew for Dogs is a long-lasting oral parasite treatment formulated to protect dogs against fleas and ticks for up to 12 weeks with a single dose.

Its active ingredient, fluralaner, is systemically active against fleas, ticks and certain mites. Fleas and ticks are exposed to fluralaner after attaching and feeding on the treated dog. This makes Bravecto a convenient option for pet owners who prefer longer treatment intervals rather than administering monthly parasite products.

Bravecto is registered in South Africa for the treatment and prevention of flea, tick and mite infestations in dogs. It kills both adult ticks and juvenile stages, including larvae and nymphs, and may also be used as part of a management programme for flea allergy dermatitis.

What Does Bravecto Chew Treat?

Bravecto is registered for the treatment and prevention of:

• Fleas
• Ticks
• Demodex mites
• Sarcoptes mites
• Otodectes ear mites

The flea-killing activity also helps reduce the likelihood of transmission of Dipylidium caninum, a tapeworm transmitted by fleas, by controlling fleas on the dog and reducing the surrounding flea burden.

Bravecto Chew Active Ingredient

Fluralaner

Bravecto provides approximately 25 to 56mg fluralaner per kg body weight, depending on the correctly selected chew size.

Available Strengths

Dogs weighing more than 56kg should receive an appropriate combination of two whole chews that most closely matches their body weight.

Directions for Use

Administer one correctly sized whole chew every 12 weeks.

• Give at or around feeding time for maximum effectiveness.
• The chew may be given directly or mixed with food.
• Do not break or divide the chew.
• Use the strength appropriate for your dog’s current body weight.
• Bravecto may be administered throughout the year.

Important Information

Bravecto may be used in puppies from 8 weeks of age and dogs weighing at least 2kg. Use according to the product label and consult your veterinarian if your dog has an existing medical condition or is receiving other treatment.

Storage

Store at or below 30°C in a cool, dry place and keep in the original packaging to protect it from light.
