GCS Max Joint Care Advanced Equine 600g

GCS Max Joint Care Advanced Equine 600g

GCS Max Joint Care Advanced Equine is a high-strength joint supplement developed to support cartilage, joint function and comfortable mobility in horses. Scientifically formulated by veterinarians and animal scientists, it is particularly suited to sport and competition horses with demanding workloads, as well as horses that require additional nutritional support for their joints.

The advanced formula combines glucosamine hydrochloride, chondroitin sulphate, hydrolysed collagen type II, MSM and Avocado/Soyabean Unsaponifiables, commonly known as ASU. Manganese and vitamin C provide additional nutritional support for connective tissue and cartilage.

Regular exercise, training, competition and ageing can all place significant demands on a horse’s joints. Supporting healthy cartilage is therefore an important part of maintaining long-term mobility, comfort and athletic performance.

Advanced Joint Support for Horses

Healthy articular cartilage provides a smooth, resilient surface within the joint and helps absorb the forces generated during movement.

High-performance horses may repeatedly load their joints during jumping, dressage, racing, endurance work or intensive training. Older horses can also experience age-related changes that affect joint flexibility and mobility.

This concentrated equine formula provides several complementary nutrients associated with cartilage and connective tissue support.

Glucosamine Hydrochloride

Glucosamine HCl provides an important nutritional building block used in the production of components within cartilage.

Each 5 g level scoop provides 1,800 mg of glucosamine hydrochloride.

It forms the largest active component of the formula and works alongside chondroitin, collagen and MSM to provide broad nutritional support for joint structures.

Chondroitin Sulphate

Chondroitin sulphate is another naturally occurring component associated with healthy cartilage.

The specialised 7–10 kDa chondroitin included in the formula provides 450 mg per 5 g scoop.

Glucosamine and chondroitin are frequently used together in equine joint supplements because they provide complementary nutritional support for the cartilage matrix.

Hydrolysed Collagen Type II

Cartilage contains substantial amounts of type II collagen, which contributes to its strength and structural integrity.

Each scoop provides 50 mg of hydrolysed collagen type II.

Including collagen directly alongside the other active ingredients provides additional nutritional support for maintaining the normal structure of cartilage within heavily used joints.

MSM for Joint and Exercise Support

MSM, or methylsulphonylmethane, is an organic sulphur compound commonly included in supplements for active horses.

Each 5 g scoop contains a substantial 1,250 mg of MSM.

MSM provides sulphur used by the body in connective tissues and also offers antioxidant support. This makes it especially relevant for working and competition horses exposed to regular strenuous exercise.

Added ASU

What distinguishes the Advanced formulation from the standard GCS Max Joint Care formula is the addition of Avocado/Soyabean Unsaponifiables, or ASU.

Each scoop provides 300 mg of ASU.

ASU is included as additional nutritional support for the cartilage matrix and joint environment, making the Advanced formulation particularly suitable where a more comprehensive level of joint supplementation is required.

Manganese and Vitamin C

The formula also supplies 18 mg manganese per scoop in the form of manganese sulphate.

Manganese is an essential trace mineral involved in normal connective tissue and cartilage metabolism.

Each scoop additionally contains 108 mg ascorbic acid, supplied as calcium ascorbate. Vitamin C contributes antioxidant support and plays an important role in normal collagen formation.

GCS Max Joint Care Advanced Equine Suitable for Performance, Working and Older Horses

This advanced joint supplement is especially useful for competing sport horses with high workloads, horses exposed to repeated strenuous exercise, ageing horses requiring additional mobility support and horses that are prone to joint problems.

It may also be considered as part of a long-term joint-support programme where maintaining healthy cartilage and joint function is a priority.

A joint supplement should not replace veterinary assessment. Persistent lameness, swelling, heat, reduced range of motion or sudden changes in performance should be investigated by an equine veterinarian.

Feeding Guidelines

Mix the required amount thoroughly into the horse’s normal feed.

Published equine product guidance recommends administering the supplement twice daily, with a general total daily feeding range of approximately 10–20 g per horse depending on size and individual requirements.

As one level scoop contains approximately 5 g, this equates to a general total of around 2–4 level scoops per day, divided between feeds.

Always follow the feeding instructions printed on the current product label or the recommendation of your equine veterinarian, particularly where supplementation forms part of the management of an existing joint condition.
