Daro Bird Mineral Iodine Block

Bird Mineral Iodine Block is a compact cage add-on intended to provide birds with access to a hard mineral block while also encouraging natural pecking and beak use. Mineral blocks are commonly used alongside the main diet for ornamental and cage birds.

How to use

Place the block securely in the cage according to the pack directions, in a dry position where the bird can reach it. Replace it if it becomes heavily soiled, wet or damaged. Always provide fresh drinking water and a balanced species-appropriate staple diet.

Mineral requirements vary between species and life stages. A mineral block should complement, not replace, a properly balanced diet. If your bird is receiving a veterinary diet or has a medical condition, ask an avian veterinarian whether additional mineral supplementation is appropriate.

Good feeding and storage habits

Keep food in a sealed container in a cool, dry place and use clean scoops to reduce moisture and contamination. Wash food and water bowls regularly, remove spoiled fresh food promptly, and check the cage or feeding area for uneaten food and empty husks. Monitor body condition, droppings, appetite and normal behaviour when changing foods. If a bird stops eating, loses weight or shows signs of illness, contact an avian veterinarian rather than relying on dietary changes alone.
