Keen Pets stocks the 12kg Hill’s Adult Perfect Weight Large Breed, ideal for regular feeding of larger dogs.

Weight management for large and giant breed dogs

Large dogs can place additional strain on their joints when carrying excess body weight, making healthy weight management especially important.

Hill’s Adult Perfect Weight Large Breed is designed for dogs that need fewer calories while still receiving complete everyday nutrition. Hill’s describes the formula as clinically proven for safe and effective weight loss with visible results, while also supporting long-term healthy weight maintenance.

The nutritional approach focuses on helping dogs lose excess body fat while preserving lean muscle rather than simply reducing food quantity without considering the nutrient balance of the diet.

How the formula supports a healthy weight

The formula combines higher protein and fibre with targeted nutrients that support a dog’s metabolism. Protein helps maintain lean tissue, while fibre can help dogs feel satisfied on a controlled calorie intake.

L-carnitine plays a role in normal fat metabolism, while coconut oil forms part of Hill’s nutritional approach to helping support a healthy body weight.

This makes Hill’s Adult Perfect Weight Large Breed a useful everyday option for adult large dogs that tend to gain weight easily or have reduced activity levels.
